Qinghai Lake

 

Qinghai Lake is one of the largest inland and salt water lakes in China. The lake is surrounded by the beauty of grasslands and mountains, and provides year round recreation.

 

While here, you may also want to visit the nearby Bird Island (Great for birdwatchers) and Sand Island. Entrance fees apply.

Visit a Temple

 

China is full of temples where people commonly go for worship. One of the most popular temples in Qinghai is the Toulou Temple. The temple covers over 6.9 acres and can be explored for only a small entrance fee.

Visit one of China's largest Mosques

 

Dongguan is one of the largest Mosques in China. The Mosque dates back over 600 years and is well known for its magnificent architecture. You can visit the Mosque free of charge.

Huzhu Tu Ethnic Tourist Area

 

Located in the Northeastern part of Qinghai, the Huzhu Tu Ethnic tourist area is a great place to get in touch with the Tu Culture. The Tu are an ethnic group in China that take a strong interest in singing and dancing, and hold regular festivals throughout the year.
