Signal Hill

 

Signal Hill is a National Historic Site that was once a strategic location for surveying the ocean and observing for ships headed towards St. Johns. You can now take a self-guided tour through the park, and during summer months you can watch re-enactments of old military drills.

Cape Spear Lighthouse

 

Visit Cape Spear and stand on the most Easterly point on the Continent! The Lighthouse is the oldest in Newfoundland and is surrounded by breathtaking scenery and wildlife.

George Street

 

If you crave entertainment, George street is where you want to be. The street runs for two blocks and is dominated by bars, pubs, and restaurants. The street holds two annual festivals which are commonly host to big bands. Great Big Sea and Blue Rodeo are just two of the many great bands which have taken the George Street Main Stage.

East Coast Trail

 

The East Coast trail runs along 300 km of coastline and boasts more than 26 wilderness paths. Lighthouses, wildlife, cliffs, fjords, reserves, icebergs, and suspension bridges are just a few of the many treasures you can find along this magnificent trail.

Quidi Vidi Village

 

Quidi Vidi is a quaint and charming fishing village just a short drive from St Johns. The scenic village is a great place to take a stroll and search for antiques or visit the old fashioned pub!

Jellybean Row

The Discovery Trail

 

A historical trail that begins in Clarenville and ends in Port Blandford. It passes through two well known towns; Trinity and Bona Vista, and features a variety of historical attractions along the way.

The Battery

 

The Battery is a small neighbourhood in St John's that is known for its colorful homes and dramatic scenery. It played a large role in the battery of defense in both World Wars.
