Hoover Dam

 

The Hoover Dam sits right on the border of the Nevada and Arizona States. The Dam was built in the 1930's as an attempt to tame the Colorada River and provide hydroelectric power and water. At the time it was built, it was the largest dam in the world.

 

Tours of the Powerplant and Dam are given daily.

Hemenway Park

 

Located in Boulder City, Hemenway Park's main attraction are the Bighorn sheep that come down to graze on the grasses. Also found within the 10 acre park are tennis and basketball courts, horseshoe pits, playground equipment, and gazebos.

Valley of Fire

 

The Valley of Fire is the oldest and largest State Park in Nevada. Hiking, picnicing, petroglyphs, and beautiful scenery can be found all in one place!

The Wildlife Habitat

 

Located at the Flamigo hotel and casino, the Wildlife habitat is a 15 acre paradise that features exotic birds, fish, and turtles. The highlight is the beautiful pink flamingos!

Mirage Volcano

 

A spectacular fire show that runs nightly at the Mirage. The Volcano is one of the most popular attractions on the Las Vegas Strip.

Streetmosphere

 

The Grand Canal Shoppes at the Venetian is the closest you can get to Italy without actually being there. St. Mark's Square has daily performances by actors, singers, musicians, and live statues.

Container Park

Always wanted to go to Paris? Okay, so Vegas can't offer the real thing, but it does have the next best thing! Just off the Vegas strip is "Paris", where you can find replicas of popular Paris landmarks including the Opera House, the Eiffel Tower, and the Louvre.

The Mermaid Show

The Labyrinths

Little Finland

 

Little Finland can be found near Lake Mead, in a remote area of Nevada. It is a scenic area filled with a variety of unique red rock formations.

Bonnie and Clyde Getaway Car

 

Bonnie and Clyde are a famous criminal duo who were known for robbing and killing people in the 1930's. In 1934 they stole a V8 Ford in which they committed many of their crimes. The car is now housed in Primm, Nevada and is a popular attraction for visitors.
