Located in Tyler, Texas, the World of Wildlife Museum offers completely free admission. Here you will find a variety of animal displays, as well as a playground with an old firetruck and a restored caboose.

Big Thicket National Preserve

 

This preserve consists of over 112,250 acres of waterways and trails. Many visitors come to Big Thicket to hike the variety of different terrains, while others come to bird-watch, or travel the waterways by kayak or canoe. Overnight camping is also available.

Visit the Oldest Town In Texas

 

Nacogdoches is the oldest town in Texas and dates back to 1779! This quiet little town has an extensive history that began with the first settlers - the Caddo tribe. 

 

Nacogdoches makes for a great little daytrip where you can explore history, take a hike, or enjoy some antique shopping!
