NORTHERN ONTARIO - FREE AND FUN

Take a trip back in time to Depot Harbour

Located on Parry Island, Depot Harbour is Ontario's largest ghost town. Established in 1889, Depot Harbour was once home to over 1600 people. The town itself had a school, a butcher shop, a small hotel, three churches, and a small store. In 1945 a massive explosion hit the harbour and it was soon abandoned thereafter. Today the Depot Harbour stands alone and gives visitors the eerie feeling of lonliness and emptiness.
