Tucked away in Crawford Bay is the North Woven Broom Company. You can visit the shop, or take a look in the old log cabin to watch brooms being carefully weaved and hand-crafted. Small fees may apply

Drive the Selkirk Loop
The Selkirk Loop is a scenic drive through the Rocky Mountains. The loop goes on for 450km and passes through the Selkirk Mountains in BC, Washington, and Idaho.

Sandon Ghost Town
Sandon is a ghost town in BC that originally boasted a population of over 10, 000 people and was known for mining. Unfortuntely the town was destroyed by a major flood and was never able to recover. Today the town stands abandoned with plenty of the run down buildings and homes still standing. Many people who visit also like to see the rundown trolley buses in the area.

Home of a Thousand Faces
While not completely free, entrance to the home of a thousand faces is pocketchange and well worth the visit. For only a couple of dollars you can step in and meet Rolf - an eccentric man who makes thousands of lifesize carvings and sculptures from wood. While here you can also meet his rooster Charlie, and his goats that can often be found wondering the roof. Many carvings are for sale.
