Black Mountain Trail
The Black Mountain trail is a moderately challenging trail in the San Bernadino Mountains. The walk is very scenic and offers excellent mountain views. Dogs are allowed, provided they are kept on a leash.

Crown Village Clock Tower
The Crown Village Clock Tower, in Calimesa, comes alive several times a day to announce a king and queen! The animatronic clock is the location for a variety of events held throughout the year.

Joshua Tree National Park
Joshua Tree National Park combines 2 different ecosystems into one park. It offers a variety of stunning and unique ecological displays, and is a great place for hiking, exploring, rock climbing, and rappelling. Camping is also available. Admission fees may apply.

The Lava Beds National Monument is a wilderness park that offers plenty of unique and exciting opportunities. Whether you want to explore a cave, discover a crater, admire petroglyphs, or simply enjoy nature, the Lava Beds Monument has something for everyone. The area has many hiking trails, wildlife outlooks, and even has a camping site.

Hike Painted Canyon
The Painted Canyon hike is a beautiful one that offers sights of unusual geographic formations among layers of eroded rock that have been formed over millions of years and pushed up from the San Andreas fault.

Explore Old Town La Quinta
Old Town La Quinta is a quiet little spot that you can spend time browsing boutique shops, dining on delicious foods, sipping and tasting wine, or just enjoying some of the many events that are held in the area.

Indian Canyons
The Indian Canyons are some of the most beautiful trails in all of Palm Springs. The most popular trails are Palm Canyon, Andreas Canyon, and Murray Canyon. Most of the trails follow a stream and offer breathtaking desert landscapes. Be sure to bring your camera for this hike - there will be lots of photo opps!

Blythe Intaglios
Located in the Colorado Desert, the Blythe Intaglios are sometimes referred to as America's Nazca lines. They are enormous geoglyphs that can be seen in the air as depicting animals, people, shapes, and objects. While there are hundreds of intaglios throughout the United States, these ones are set apart by their massive size.

San Andreas Fault
The San Andreas Fault is one of the most well known and massive Earthquake centers in the entire world. For a unique adventure, head to the Coachella Valley Preserve and stand right on top of the fault line!

Anza Borrego Desert State Park
Anza Borrego is California's largest state park and is home to a vast array of plants and wildlife. The Park consists of a Vistors Center, as well as several canyons, points, mountains, and lookouts. You can also keep your eye out for the Bighorn sheep and Swainson Hawks that call the Park home.

Cactus to Clouds Trail
Feeling ambitious? Try the Cactus to Clouds Trail in Palm Springs. As the name of the trail states, this trek starts on ground level and rises into the mountains to an elevation of 10 804 feet. The scenery is beautiful, so bring a camera, but keep in mind that much of this hike will be in dry desert conditions, so bring lots of water! Once at the top, you can take a tram back down for a small fee.

Old Town Temecula
Old Town Temecula has been around since 1882 and still holds the "historic" feel that it has always had. Here you can shop for antiques, browse through boutique shops, and admire art.

International Banana Museum
The International Banana Museum is located in Mecca, California and is, as one would guess, dedicated to everything bananas! The museum homes over 20, 000 banana related items and offers banana shakes, banana splits, chocolate covered bananas, and other delicious banana related treats. While here don't be shy - get your photo taken in a banana costume!

A trip to Salvation Mountain
Located about 1.5 hours from Palm Springs, Salvation Mountain is a tribute to God. The creator of the Mountain, Leonard Knight, designed the mountain to deliver the message "God is Love". The 50 ft tall mountain consists of a variety of flowers, trees, waterfalls, and beautifully colored objects.
