Drive the Cabot Trail

 

The Cabot Trail is a scenic roadway that takes you through the most beautiful parts of Cape Breton. The trail can take anywhere from 1-4 four days to explore (depending on how many stops you make). Along the route you can find heritage sites, scenic lookouts, whale watching tours, hiking trails, and much more!

Hike to the Uisge Ban Falls

 

The hike to the Uisge Ban Falls in Baddeck is approximately 1.5 hours roundtrip, and is well worth the hike!

Highlands National Park

 

While entrance fees do apply to this park, it is well worth the visit. Highlands National Park hugs the Cabot trail coastline and is the perfect location for spotting eagles, moose, and other wildlife. Camping, hiking, and sandy beaches are only part of the fun at Highlands National Park.

Ceilidh Trail

 

Celidh Trail is another driving trail in Cape Breton. It runs for approximately 100km and ends in Margaree Harbour where you can hop on the Cabot trail if desired. Along the trail you can find bike paths, beaches, Gaelic schools, and more!
