Cypress Grove Trail 

 

The Cypress Grove Trail is an .8 mile trail that loops through the Cypress forest and offers beautiful scenery and ocean views. Many people walk this trail to enjoy the Cypress Trees, as well as admire the sealions nestled on the rocks.

Visit Carmel by the Sea

 

Carmel by the Sea is a popular beach village in the Monterey Bay region of California. This European style village has everything you need for the perfect weekend getaway. Whether you are looking for a romantic and charming inn, gourment restaurants, wine tasting cellars, or cultural activities, Carmel by the Sea has it all - even a fairy tale homes!

Cannery Row

 

If you're in the Monterey area, take a walk down the famous Cannery Row. This picturesque street is the perfect place to dine, shop, rest, or just enjoy the surroundings!

Drive the PCH

 

The Pacific Coast Highway (PCH), runs along the highway of California's Pacific Coast. It runs 147 miles and stretches from Carmel to Morro Bay. The highway is a popular route for motorcyclists, and makes for one of the most beautiful and scenic drives in America. 

Monarch Sanctuary

 

Beginning in the October months, Pacific Grove gives home to a large number of Monarch Butterflies. The butterflies flock to the Eucalyptus trees in the area, and tend to gather in clusters. While the Monarch Museum is open year round, most butterflies will migrate away in late February. The santuary is free to the public and is well worth a visit. 

Lovers Point Park

 

Also found in Pacific Grove, Lovers Point is a 4.4 acre park located off of 17th street. The park is a popular venue for celebrations and weddings (hence the name), but is also commonly used for fishing, picnicing, surfing, swimming, and other watersports. 

Point Lobos

 

If nature is your thing, you can't miss out on a visit to Point Lobos. The Point offers everything from scenic views, to crashing waves, to hiking, diving, and whale and sealife viewing.

Go to the Beach

 

California is home to some amazing beaches, but one of the top rated is found in Carmel. Carmel is known to be a city of "romance" and it's beaches help the reputation stand true. Scenic hiking, wildlife viewing, and water activities are just a few of the many great things to experience on Carmel Beach. 

Santa Cruz Boardwalk 

 

What's better than free entertainment? At the Santa Cruz Boardwalk you will find a variety of free entertainers, as well as warm sand, mini golf, food, shopping, and even an amusement park!

Big Sur Road Trip

 

Big Sur is an area that runs along the Pacific Coastline from San Simeon to Carmel. It runs along the Santa Lucia mountains and sees millions of visitors each year. What attracts visitors? Big Sur is a trip into nature. Tour the land and you will see amazing natural beauty in all directions, look in the water and you will see sea otters basking in the sun - and maybe even a pod of dolphins swimming in the ocean.
