Deep Creek Hot Springs
A beautiful oasis in the middle of the desert hills, Deep Creek Hot Springs are the perfect place to take a break from life. The springs do require an uphill hike, but are well worth the trip. Be careful with children though - this is a popular nudist spot!
Watch BMX Racers
Apple Valley, California is home to the BMX Moto Park. The park is a popular off-road racing venue for both racers and fans. The park is open both day and night, and often hosts events such as racer and cruiser nights.

Head to McDonalds
It's McDonalds - with a twist. At the Barstow station McDonalds you can eat your meal in an old train dining car!

Elmer Long's Bottle Tree Ranch
Instead of recycling or disposing of his old bottles, Elmer Long decided to use his to build obscure art. The Elmer ranch features a variety of bottles that have been turned into tree art! The Ranch is free, but donations are always welcome!

Get Your Kicks on Route 66
While the original Route 66 no longer exists, much of the drive is still preserved. The route runs all the way from Los Angeles to Chicago, and has several fun and quirky stops along the way. Explore Big Bear Lake Village
Nestled in the San Bernadino Mountains, Big Bear Village is a quiet and charming place for shopping, dining, and entertainment. The Village has plenty of boutique and souvenier shops, as well as theaters, tours, and more.

Little Lakes Valley Trail
If you want to spend a day in the wilderness, the Little Lakes Valley Trail may be the perfect hike for you. At an elevation of over 10, 000 feet, this moderately strenuous hike takes you through a variety of scenic lakes that have been formed by melted snow.

Devil's Post Pile
The Devil's Post Pile National Monument consists of The Devils Post Pile formation, the Rainbow falls, and beautiful mountainous scenery. The Pile formations stand over 60 feet tall and are definitely a unique sight to be seen!

Mono Lake
The spectacular views of Mono Lake speak for themselves. Aside from its natural beauty, one of the main attractions here are the Tufa Towers. How did they form? Over a series of many years, minerals built up in the lake. When freshwater springs flowed into the lake, the waters interacted with these minerals and created cement like towers, that many say look like ancient cities.

Fossil Falls
The Fossil Falls are an amazing rock formation located in Little Lake, California. A short hike will take you to the falls where both Volcanic activity and glacier meltwater played a role in creating the unique formations over the years.

Joshua Tree National Park
Joshua Tree National Park is known as the park that combines two seperate ecosystems (The Mojave and the Colorado). The land is full of unique geologic displays that have been formed by the strong weather systems over the years. Nature walks, backpacking, and stargazing are popular activities in the park.

Fourtynine Palms Trail
The Fourtynine Palms Trail is a 3 mile round trip hike. The trail takes approximately 3 hours to hike and is mostly uphill. Trails are all well maintained and are an excellent place for enjoying nature and wildlife.
