Highland Games
The Highland Games are a celebration and showcasing of Scottish culture, and are held in Antigonish, NS. The games feature competitions in everything from bagpiping, to highland dancing, to drumming, piping, and track and field (plus much more). Aside from watching the competitions, you can also learn more about Scottish culture yourself through a variety of cultural events and activities.
Evolve Festival
The Evolve Festival is held during summer months in Antigonish, NS. It is an annual 3 day celebration of music, culture, and social awareness. The festival features performers from around the globe and hosts workshops to promote social awareness.
Riverfront Jubilee
Held in New Glasgow, the Riverfront Jubilee is an annual music festival that features local and regional talents.
Lobster Carnival
The Lobster Carnival has been held in Pictou, NS since 1934! It is held annually to celebrate the conclusion of the fishing season. The carnival has a little something for everyone including a beer garden, a Mardi Gras Parade, Lobster Boat Races, a Midway, Fireworks, a Parade for children, and much more!
Oktoberfest
Canada's largest Oktoberfest is held annually in Tatamagouche, NS. Oktoberfest is a party unlike any other celebrating German Culture. The festival is held for those of drinking age, and is full of singing, dancing, and German beer!
