The Museum
The Gansu Provincial Museum is admission free and covers two main sections - historic exhibits and natural resources. Here you can explore prehistoric exhibits, as well as historic art, fossils, and more.

Bingling Temple Caves
The Bingling Thousand Buddha Caves are found in Lanzhou. Creation of the caves dates way back to the Western Jin Dynasty. They are one of China's largest ancient temple complexes and are also home to one of the largest carved Buddha statues, reaching over 90 feet tall.

Wei-Jin Tombs
The Wei-Jin tombs are the site of thousands of tombs dating from the Wei and Jin. It is often defined at the Worlds "largest underground art gallery".

Maiji Caves
Maiji Mountain stands over 150 meters tall and is home to the Maiji Caves - a collection of caves that have been constructed through the centuries. Inside the caves you will find a variety of statues, carvings, murals, and additional historic works of art.

Tianti Mountain Grotto
This Grotto is located in the town of Wuwei, and holds a massive statue of Sakyamuni (over 28 meters tall!). The Grotto is a significant part of Chinese history, dating back over 1500 years.

Flat Lake Canyon
The Flat Lake Canyon, also referred to as "China's Colorado Canyon" can be found 50km North of Zhangye City. The canyon is said to cover over 150 sq km.

Rainbow Mountains
Imagine a beautiful painting combined with a natural geological wonder - that's what you get when you visit the Rainbow Moutains. These beautiful mountains are a combination of red sandstone, rocks, and mineral deposits which give it a "multi-tone" color. Today the Mountains are protected as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Kong Tong Mountain
Natural scenery and beautiful landscapes are what Kong Tong Mountain is all about. Mountains, forests, caves, cliffs, and wildlife can all be found within the landscape. In fact, there are an estimated 300 different species living within the area (Leapords, cranes, and hawks to name just a few).

Echo Sand Mountain
If you're looking for a desert destination, the singing sands in Dunhuang are the place to go. Here you are free to explore in the sand without the buzz of the city - and you can even ride a camel!

Wanxiang Cave
This cave is over 250 million years old and can be found in the mountainside of Lugushan Mountain.

Longnan Valley
Located in the South of Gansu you will find Longnan Valley. The beautiful landscapes of this city make it well worth a day visit.

The Three Gorges
The Three Gorges of the Yellow River include the Bingling Gorge, Liujia Gorge and Yanguo Gorge. The Gorges are considered to be a scenic area with several nearby attractions including the Dinosaur National Geopark and the Bingling Temple Grottoes.

Gannan Grasslands
The Gannan Grasslands are considered to be one of the most beautiful grasslands in China. Aside from the sparkling waters and green grasslands, you can also find a variety of animal species that live here including sheep and yak.

Crescent Lake
Just as the name suggests, Crescent Lake comes in the form of a half moon. According to legend, those who eat the grass and fish of the lake together will live for eternity.
